LIFT MY HOPE

No more dreams
but nightmares
No more streams
but dried-up lakes.

I'd love to be cool
but skills never came!
I'd stick with school
But it's equally lame!

On vacant stomach,
I struggle and humble
Feeding on cram-work
Breathing only bubbles!

Clouds of nepotism,
Tribalism and corruption
Lion, oh! Pessimism
you rule my heart and nation!

Poverty, my Christian name,
'Why?' my metallic pillow
so aching, living with this shame,
But opportunities are reading zero!

Lend me hope
Oh you men of power
so I don't slope
down the 'grave-tower'!

Lend me hope,
and my dreams won't turn sour!
