THE BEST THING IN LIFE

Like soaked Soya seeds
Pages open by reflex.
Like African waist beads,
Ages silently on influx!

Sweet, sour and bitter,
But I’m innocent of the taste!
Poor one at times better
But I always opt for the best!

A peck on my cheek, I’m taken
Yet ignorant of the cause!
When serious, I’m mistaken
Yet struggling for applause!

They say it's what you make it
Yet such chances are wind!
After sliding I turn and bake it
And to restart, I do a rewind.

Humbling and sudden slips
Make life a much longer journey
Grumbling during sleep
Making me forget the honey.

It's our fault if not the giver
That we're taken up in strife
and miss to appreciate our life.
